Shoulder Problems

Shoulder Joint The shoulder is a ball and socket joint with three main bones. These three main bones are the humerus (long arm bone), clavicle (collar bone) and scapula (scapula). These three main bones are connected by a layer of cartilage. The glenohumeral joint consists of the upper part of the humerus bone and the outer edge of the scapula. This joint is called the shoulder joint. This joint is very important in arm and body mobility. The shoulder has a versatile range of motion. For this reason, the discomfort that occurs here directly affects the quality of life. Shoulder problems are detailed under subheadings such as impingement, frozen shoulder (rotatorcuff), and tendon rupture.

What is Shoulder Impingement Syndrome?

Rotator cuff is a disease caused by friction between the humerus and the upper outer edge of the shoulder. This friction causes swelling and narrowing in that area. This disease occurs in case of compression of the tendon or bursa in the shoulder joints. This causes pain and irritation.

Rest, medical treatments and physical therapy are mostly recommended for this disease. In our physical therapy center, this process is carried out by expert physiotherapists with treatment methods such as TENS, hot-cold application and ultrasound.

What is rotator cuff (frozen shoulder)?

Pain in the shoulder is manifested by pain that increases when the arm is raised above the head, weakness in the arm, and shoulder pain at night. When the severity of these pains increases and the pain affects your quality of life, it is recommended that you consult a physical therapy and rehabilitation specialist. When medical treatment and physical therapy do not work, surgery can be performed. An operation called subacromial decompression is performed with a device called arthroscopy. In our physical therapy center, this process is carried out by expert physiotherapists with treatment methods such as TENS, hot-cold application and ultrasound.

What is a Tendon Tear?

Tendons are fibrous soft tissues that connect muscles to bones. In some cases, tendons may be injured, damaged, or torn or ruptured. In such cases, surgery is required to ligate the tendon. Tendon strains (strains and small, partial tears) are common injuries that are often treated nonsurgically with the RICE method (rest, icing, compression, and elevation) and perhaps physical therapy. In our physical therapy center, this process is carried out by expert physiotherapists with treatment methods such as TENS, hot-cold application and ultrasound.
