What is Breast (Breast) Aesthetics?

What is Breast Augmentation Surgery?

Breast augmentation surgery is, in short, an aesthetic procedure used by women whose breasts are smaller than the desired size. Today, silicone gel-filled prosthesis (breast implant) is preferred as the gold standard in breast augmentation surgeries. Breast silicone can be placed under the breast. It is applied under general anesthesia. There are bras designed with straps to ensure that the affected tissues are not disturbed during the healing process after the surgery. This bra should be worn for approximately 1 month after the procedure. The patient may need to stay in the hospital on the day of the surgery. The patient can stand up and return home the day after surgery. After a 3-4 day rest period at home, the person can return to his/her daily life without any problems. What is Breast Reduction Surgery? Excessively large breasts cause back, neck and shoulder pain, shortness of breath and poor posture.  In breast reduction surgery, which is a type of breast aesthetics, these problems are eliminated by removing excess fat from the breast tissue in order for the person to have a healthier, lighter and more aesthetic appearance. It also helps the person achieve the aesthetic appearance they dream of.   After the patient is evaluated in detail by the physician, routine blood tests are performed. The surgery may take approximately 4-4.5 hours under general anesthesia. The operation usually involves incisions in the shape of an inverted T from the nipple to the bottom of the breast. After the procedure, while the breast size is reduced, excess fat and skin in the breast tissue is removed and the nipple is moved to a higher area. There are bras designed with straps to ensure that the affected tissues are not disturbed during the healing process after breast reduction surgery. After the procedure, this bra should be worn for an average of 1 month. After surgery, people gain more positive impressions of their bodies, it becomes easier for them to participate in physical activities, and psychological relief is provided. In cases where a person's breast size is above normal, various disorders occur due to the size of the breast. These disorders include problems such as posture disorders, pain and sagging in the waist and back area. In addition, it is known that the bra used due to the size of the breast creates serious pressure on the arms and various other areas, causing various discomforts such as numbness in the arms. In such cases, breast reduction surgery is performed and the ideal breast size is determined according to the person's body size, and excess tissue and skin tissue are removed. The reshaped breast is brought to a smaller size, allowing the person to gain comfort and get rid of aesthetic concerns and situations that make life difficult. This operation, which has positive reflections on many different points, from clothing preferences to social life, is frequently performed.

What is Mastopexy (Breast Lift)?

Factors such as breastfeeding, weight gain and loss, aging and gravity cause sagging in the female breast over time. In addition, if the skin elasticity is lost, the shape of the breast changes and the sagging continues to increase. Breast lift surgeries are surgeries performed to reduce or eliminate these problems. Breast lift surgeries alone may sometimes not be sufficient for the breast to reach its normal size. If the breast tissue is thought to be insufficient, the desired result can be achieved by placing a breast prosthesis during breast lift surgery. On the contrary, the large and heavy breast makes it difficult to maintain the results obtained from this surgery. In this case, while the breast is being lifted, it may also be reduced. While these surgeries can be performed with an incision only around the nipple, sometimes it may be necessary to make a straight incision under the breast or an incision called an inverted T. Routine blood tests are performed on patients before surgery. The operation takes approximately 2 to 4 hours under general anesthesia. There are bras designed with special closure forms and straps to ensure that the affected tissues are not disturbed during the healing process after the surgery. After the procedure, this bra should be worn for an average of 1 month. Depending on breast size and various factors, shape deformities, sagging and some results that disrupt the aesthetic perception may occur over time. Breastfeeding or weight gain or loss causes breast sagging. Although this situation is the result of a very natural cycle, it can both negatively affect the person's life comfort and cause discomfort in terms of aesthetic perception. In this case, Mastopexy (Breast Lift) operation is performed. The breast is redesigned in accordance with the patient's body dimensions, the damaged breast tissue is corrected, the skin is reshaped and the operation is completed. This operation can be performed alone or simultaneously with other breast operations. This operation, which positively affects the person's aesthetic perception, life comfort and psychology, is in high demand and applied.
