Treatment of Eye Disorders in Infection, Allergic and Inflammatory Conditions

Stye: It is a swelling on the eyelid as a result of inflammation of the hair follicle. It is classified as internal stye and external stye depending on the location of the inflammation in the hair follicle. Stye, eye redness, stinging, green discharge, eyelid pain and crusting may occur. Chalazion: It is a lump that forms in the eye as a result of inflammation of the sebaceous glands. Chalazion may occur as an internal stye.  Although it initially starts as a small stye or pimple, redness and swelling increase and become painful and red. Blepharitis: Blepharitis is also known as eyelid inflammation. It is a chronic disease caused by inflammation of the eyelids.

In case of inflammation of the eyelids, daily care and cleaning at home is often required. Conjunctivitis: Inflammation of the white part of the eye (sclera) and the inner part of the eyelids causes the eye to appear red. For this reason, this disease is called red eye among the public. Generally, the treatment process continues with eye drops, pomade and daily cleaning and care, and healing occurs within a period of 1 week to 10 days. Allergic Conjunctivitis: Also known as eye allergy. The patient's eye reacts to allergens from the environment. There may be a stinging sensation in the eyes, redness, burning in the eyes, itching and sensitivity to light. Antihistamine drops, hot and cold compresses, daily eye cleaning and care, and pomades are used in the treatment of this disease. Seasonal Allergic Conjunctivitis: This type of conjunctivitis is the most common type. In the spring months, as a result of the pollen in the air during seasonal transitions, an eye reaction occurs and creates an allergic problem.

If the eye comes into contact with more allergens, inflammation may increase further. Contact Eye Allergy: This type of allergic eye disease occurs when the eye reacts to chemical products. It is caused by the individual having an allergic eye structure to some medications or some cosmetic products. Artificial tear drops and antihistamine drops are often used in the prevention and treatment of allergic reactions. Uveitis: It is a serious disease that can cause vision loss as a result of inflammation of the uvea (middle part of the eye). This inflammation of the eye causes blindness if left untreated. Since it is a recurring disease, urgent treatment is required to prevent permanent damage.
