Birth Methods

Natural birth is the most recommended method for birth by doctors. However, the large size of the baby, narrow roof and some other problems cause the birth to be performed by cesarean delivery methods. The doctor determines the most appropriate birth method for the patient, taking into account the patient's request and the patient's medical profile.

Normal Vaginal Birth: A natural birth method most recommended by doctors is normal vaginal birth. At approximately the 40th week, the cervix opens and birth occurs normally. If there is no obstacle to normal birth, birth can occur with natural pain or with artificial pain and pushing support.

Although normal vaginal birth is recommended by doctors as the healthiest birth method, in some cases it is necessary to have a cesarean section. One of the leading reasons for these situations is that the baby does not turn over. Physicians consider a cesarean birth to be healthier for reasons such as the roof of the uterus being narrow, the baby being large, or the previous birth being a cesarean section. Water Birth: Normal vaginal birth is performed in a controlled manner in a sterile pool filled with water. It is among the modern techniques of normal birth. The birth of the baby is carried out by the doctor and midwives with the help of natural or artificial pains and straining in a sterilized pool with 36-37 degree water. Princess Birth: Normal vaginal birth is performed using epidural anesthesia. It is planned that the epidural catheter will be placed on the back and painkillers will be given when necessary, allowing the mother to have a painless vaginal birth.

Caesarean section: It is the process of removing the baby by making an incision in the lower abdomen at the mother's request or in some cases of necessity. It is a major surgical operation. General anesthesia can be performed with spinal or epidural anesthesia. Spinal anesthesia is mostly preferred. Caesarean section with spinal anesthesia: With the help of analgesic medication administered to the back area, the patient cannot feel the part below the waist. It is done with a single needle. It is effective for a short time. Caesarean section with epidural anesthesia: It can also be performed in combination with spinal. Its difference from spinal anesthesia is that in epidural, a catheter is placed in the patient's spine. Medication can be given when necessary. It is removed when the process is completed.
