Born in Ankara in 1970, he completed his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine between 1987-1993. He completed his specialist training at Istanbul Süreyyapaşa Chest Diseases and Thoracic Surgery Training and Research Hospital between 1993 and 2003. He served as Chief Resident at the same hospital between 2005 and 2015.
