A. Gökhun Alpua was born in Ankara in 1990. He completed his primary and secondary education in Samsun and his high school education at Ankara Gazi Anatolian High School. Kiss. Dr. A. Gökhun Alpua started his medical education at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 2008. Immediately after graduating in 2014, he started his Cardiovascular Surgery specialization at Marmara University, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery. He completed his specialization in 2020 and became a Cardiovascular Surgery Specialist. After receiving his specialization in 2020, he worked as a cardiothoracic surgeon in public hospitals in Istanbul and Iğdır, and was also the head of the team that opened the angiography laboratory at Iğdır State Hospital. Dr. A. Gökhun Alpua laid the foundations of varicose vein and interventional angiographic methods for the first time in the region.

He has received training and experience in both interventional angiographic techniques and techniques for varicose veins in leading institutions around the world. He is one of the physicians who successfully applied interventional angiographic methods and varicose vein operations for the first time in the region at the hospital where he currently works. He is a member of the leading international EACTS (European Association for Cardio - Thoracic Surgery), ESVS (European Society for Vascular Surgery), National Vascular Surgery Association and Turkish Cardiovascular Surgery Association. His articles and studies have been published in leading prestigious journals and scientific institutions in our country and around the world.

Kiss. Dr. A. Gökhun Alpua has performed more than 1000 successful varicose vein and interventional angiography procedures since the day he completed his specialization, making these methods more widely known and more in demand in every region he works in.
