Bone or tumors that are denser than soft tissue allow very little X-rays to pass through and therefore appear white on the X-ray. When a fracture occurs in a bone, the X-ray beam passes through the broken area and appears as a black line on the white bone. With this imaging method, pathologies in areas such as the Spine, Joints, Abdomen, Lung Sinuses, Jaw, Hip, Long Bones can be detected.
