Ömer Faruk Tarımcıoğlu was born in Bitlis in 1947. He completed his primary education in Bitlis, his secondary education in Uşak and Adana, and his high school education in Istanbul Haydarpaşa High School. He started Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine in 1965. He graduated in 1971. After completing his 18 months of military service, he first worked in an anesthesia, general surgery and traumatology clinic in Germany. He later graduated from the urology clinic as a specialist.
