What Is Acne?

Small holes on the skin surface are called pores. Acne occurs when these holes, that is, pores, are blocked. There are hair and sebaceous glands in the follicles where the pore is opened. The oil (sebum) secreted by this sebaceous gland makes the skin soft.

In some cases, these sebaceous glands may become clogged. Pores that may be blocked by oil, bacteria, dead skin cells have an active role in the formation of acne. It can be seen in any age group. It is not a dangerous disease, but it can cause acne scars. At the same time, the formation of these pimples and painful acne can cause emotional damage to the patient. In which region do acne most often occur?

There is no specific region for the formation of acne. But more often, it is seen in the face and neck area, shoulders, back and chest area.

What Are The Types of Stains Caused by Acne?

Comedones such as black dots and white dotsare formed. There are six different types of lesions caused by acne. These are black and white dots, papules, pustules, nodules and cysts. Some pimples in the deep can turn into deep cysts. This is called nodulocystic acne.

What Are The Symptoms of Acne?

Dark spots and spots (hyperpigmentation), redness, discoloration of the skin, swelling and inflammation, pain, sensitivity are symptoms.
